В селе Великая Буда (1,2 тыс. жителей) продолжим знакомство с каменной храмовой архитектурой сел Герцаевского района. Успенская церковь в Великой Буде появилась значительно позже храма Рождества в соседних Байраках. Она построена в 1794 году из камня братьями Константином и Ильей Холбан и кроме типичных для Буковины элементов украино-румынской архитектуры содержит отдельные черты византийской и галицко-волынской школы храмового зодчества.
